Sinbads closed and a new owner took over this space at the beginning of 2023. It's now called Turkish Kebab House and has its own Yelp page.

The new management is awesome. Very friendly and kind towards us. The food is top notch, the chef is great. Everything is made to order. The pita bread and hummus is the best, have to order. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!!!

The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Lamb Shish and Falafel, the chef was extremely fast and cooked everything amazingly. All the food felt passionately made. Our server was so kind and I believe the owner also came out and everyone was so welcoming and the service was just amazing in general. The ambiance is also great, the music was great, and the location was great. Everything was just GREAT!!

Sinbad's is under new ownership as of a few months ago. They revamped the interior and changed up the menu before reopening two weeks ago. The new decor is bright and welcoming and the owners are lovely people who provide great service and recommendations. My friend was considering ordering falafel, but the owner quickly told her he didn't love the falafel because it's not a Turkish dish and suggested she try something in which they specialize. He pointed her towards the grilled vegetable wrap, which she really enjoyed. I had the garden salad with grilled chicken, and it was delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender and the vinaigrette dressing was tangy and fresh. We didn't order dessert, but the owner insisted we try the homemade baklava on the house and it was easily the best I've had. They have big plans for a new patio and market inside the store with Turkish goods, and I'll definitely be back to check it out. I hope the new owners do well! They are kind people and Sinbad's/ brings some nice flavor and culture to the University Blvd. restaurant scene.

Been meaning to stop in here for years (or decades?) It is located in a quiet area through a park like area between all the hustle and bustle of Main with all the bars and restaurants. You walk through a courtyard and at the back is the restaurant. They are an authentic Mediterranean food place. The appetizer combo is a great start and introduction to this type of food. I really recommend trying out the different options. It has hummus, grape leave and cheeses. Gyros, Kabobs and lamb are the main attractions. The shawarma is the best! I really enjoyed the plate. We ended the meal with Turkish coffee, small and strong and a baklava. It was not busy initially for a Saturday evening but filled up by 7pm. Not a long wait for anything. A nice family owned location.
